AUKEY Solar Charger Review

I have had many AUKEY items in the past and none of them I have ever found a fault with. They are brilliant quality items that have all impressed me; this AUKEY Solar Charger was no different.

I have to admit, this review was pretty hard to do at the moment as the weather hasn't been cracking although we did have one good day I was able to try it out.

I had my phone in charge for approximately 90 minutes and in that time, my battery charged from 10% to 80% which I thought was a decent increase.

I've not heard good reviews on solar chargers in the past however whenever I've asked about them, they've always been small pocket chargers that would could probably get more power from a potato.

This solar charger is a bit different. It is 21W with dual USB ports making it quite large. Definitely not pocket sized.
Although this could be seen as a down side, I think this is one of it's better features. As it is so big, there is more surface area, more solar panels and more power.

It folds approximate to the size of an A4 piece of paper (maybe a little thinner in width).
It would be easy to pack in a suitcase for going abroad and placing out on the porch or balcony of your apartment while you're on holiday. Well, this is my idea anyway!

Overall, I would highly recommend this AUKEY Solar Charger for those sunny days in the garden or holidays abroad.

My MOHOO LCD Writing Tablet!

I recently ordered a MOHOO LCD Writing Tablet from Amazon and I am really happy with my purchase.

It is a very basic writing tablet however it definitely has many uses. I bought it with the idea of it helping the eldest with her writing (and not having to use 200 pieces of paper to write the letter "a")
The pen is of very similar size and shape to a normal pen so is good for her to practice her pen holding skills.

Another useful idea to use the writing tablet is for shopping lists. I'm forever losing shopping lists as one of the kids pulls the paper from the fridge to draw on. I can place this on the fireplace and not have to worry about it being coloured in with felt tips. I may even add a strip of magnet to the back and have it on the fridge.

I can see many possibilities with this MOHOO LCD Writing Tablet!
Practice writing, drawing, notes for the family, shopping lists, sums or even measurements while I'm sewing.

What would you use it for?

Hawkin's Bazaar Alphabet Wood Blocks Review

Everywhere I look I seem to be greeted with toys made from cheap thin plastic that looks like it is going to snap at any given moment. There are wooden toys on the market however most seem to be way out of my price range or they're made very flimsy.
Things are changing!

I was given the opportunity to review these Alphabet Wood Blocks from Hawkins Bazaar and I have to admit, I am in love with them! (So much so, I've probably played with them more than any of the kids have).

Asda's Little Angels First Pants Review

I've never used first pants before. Even when potty training our eldest, I've never tried them so when we were kindly gifted a pack of Asda's Little Angels Peppa Pig First Pants to try for the youngest, I wanted to see what the fuss was all about!

We use a mix of cloth and disposable nappies usually so it was just a case of waiting and finding the perfect time to try out the first pants.

Last night was the night! I got everything out for bedtime; baby grow, sleep suit, wipes, dummy and nappy.

I must admit, it's a bit awkward putting a pull up on an 8 month old who is yet to be able to stand unaided. Other than a slight wobble while trying to get the nappy on, it fit well, wasn't bulky and was soft against the skin.

The eldest is a huge Peppa Pig fan so when these came out, she did question why she never had one to try. (We've just started night time training however don't use nappies.)
She loved the recognizable design on the nappy and kept telling me which character was which and which toy belonged to each character.

This morning we woke up with dry pyjamas, a full nappy and a happy baby.

I am really happy with these first pants and would purchase them in the future when she is a little bigger.
I can see these being perfect for potty training the toddler when we start!

The nappies we tested were Little Angels Peppa Pig First Pants in size 4. (Size 5 and 6 available)
They currently retail at £3.87 for a pack of 30.
