Flora Lunchbox Challenge

We were invited to take part in the #FloraLunchboxChallenge
The aim of the challenge is to provide parents with healthy ideas for their kids lunchboxes.

I am guilty of being that parent who has thrown in a packet of crisps and a chocolate bar when I've been short on time however it has always been accompanied by a piece of fruit.
Leeds University recently did a study of children's lunchboxes across the UK to see what they were actually given. Pasties, crisps, sugary drinks and chocolate were top of the list.
Flora's aim is to promote healthy options for lunchboxes. They provided a "Lunchbox Tips and Ideas" leaflet for us to look through and get some nutritious ideas for T's lunch!

We opted for a tuna and lettuce, sesame bagel with spread with Flora Buttery and the tuna mixed with a dollop of light mayonnaise.
I accompanied the bagel with a banana, a handful of home grown strawberries, a couple of cheese triangles and a bottle of water.

There's lots of information on the NHS Eatwell Guide

This post is an entry for the #FloraLunchbox Linky Challenge, sponsored by Flora. Check out their lunch planner and recipe ideas here.
