IRISH TWINS

1.Was this planned or did it come as a shock?
A huge shock! We had multiple losses trying for #2. After fertility treatments, we had our son. We thought it would take another 3 years to have another

2.How was your pregnancy? Did you have any complications in either pregnancy?
No complications

3.What number pregnancy were your Irish twins?
5 & 6

4.Do you want any more children?
Not after this one!

5.Do you think there is any stigma to having children so close in age?
Absolutely. People are extremely judgmental.

6.Would you say you're a strict or laid back parent?
In between

7.What piece of advice would you give someone who is expecting their youngest Irish twin?
Not to listen to anyone! You will find what works for you and your children. You don't have to do things a certain way.

8.Have you ever had any rude comments from a family member or friend? If so, what?
No-- i was worried about that, but everyone has been really supportive

9.Have you ever had any rude comments from a stranger? If so, what?
I get a lot of looks. People always think my IT's are twins, and when they find out they aren't, I get "oh, you were busy!" Or "your hands are full!"

10.Have you ever had any nice comments from a stranger? If so, what?
All the time! People tell me how beautiful my children are, how lucky I am!

11.Would you say the close age gap was easier or harder than a bigger age gap?
It's harder in the beginning. But it gets so much easier!

12.Any final advice?
Enjoy it. Enjoy your pregnancy. Don't spend time feeling scared that people will judge you or that you are weird. Having kids so close together is so much more common than people think!
