A Healthy Start

Since having L, I haven't really been healthy. I fell pregnant 3 months after I had her so never really got into the swing of exercise and healthy eating again. N
ow R has been born, I think it's about time that I shift some of this baby weight!

I've had gym memberships in the past and they've ended up being £35 a month down the drain as I never got the time to go.
It's not that I didn't want to go, but being a stay at home (well, on maternity leave) mother doesn't really leave you with any free time!
Even more so now with 3 kids!

After talks with the OH about a holiday abroad next year, I need to pull my finger out and get cracking on that beach body!

Firstly, I've decided I need a change in diet!
I don't have the spare money to go to any diet clubs like weightwatchers or slimming world so I have been quizzing a friend who lost 13 stone on slimming world and I'm going to aim to follow the principles (lean meat, lots of vegetables and to cut down on dairy and carbs)

I will be writing a weekly meal plan, and sticking to it!
I shall be keeping track of everything I eat with a food diary.
I will be upping my water intake.
I will be cooking healthy, vegetable filled meals!

I NEED TO CUT OUT THE JUNK FOOD!

The losing weight will be the easy part. It's the toning the body so it doesn't look like a wrinkly raisin that'll be the hard work!
This means I need to up my exercise!

Currently, I walk half a mile down hill to my daughters nursery and half a mile back up the hill twice a day while pushing a double pram.

Doesn't seem like much but it can be pretty tiring by the end of it!

I need to start a cardio routine while at home too.

Squats, push ups, press ups, lunges, bridges, star jumps, lifts, planking, sitting twists. You know, all the stuff I can get away with doing with a baby there!

I found this workout while strolling through the internet and this is what my aim will be! Along with star jumps, press ups, skipping and maybe even some jumps on the trampoline!

My aim is to lose 2 stone and at least 2 inches off my waist and hips by Christmas!

It'll be hard but I am determined to do this!

Some things that will help me on my way!
